I grew up in a home with a sister who is a childhood cancer survivor and was diagnosed with JRA (now JIA) at the age of 12. I found that there was little support for the siblings of children diagnosed with a chronic condition. I felt alone in the fight against JRA and that no one could understand me during my teenage years.
A fun fact about me is my name means faithful famous warrior. Being diagnosed with JRA and now EDS has given me the strength to find the inner warrior. I believe that there is a warrior inside of each and every person. When a warrior is equipped with the right tools and educated on how to use them, they are now empowered to harness the warrior within and will meet each challenge they face.
A Tool I have gained is my certification in holistic nutritionist certification from the American Fitness Professionals & Associates, where we studied research on the diets of the longest living cultures, food the prevent the leading causes of death in America, and the interrelationships of the major systems in the human body.
I have been enriching the lives of families and children from all walks of life including cancer survivors, those on the Autism Spectrum, and those with ADHD to enhance their communities since 1996, in many different settings. I have built several successful coaching and mentoring programs for emerging leaders, to gain confidence, grow into strong leaders, and rise above the crowd.
I raise awareness and advocate for several conditions including childhood cancer, Juvenile Arthritis (JA), Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), anxiety, and depression. I inspire international audiences into action in the areas of strength, joy, compassion, and well-being I enjoy meal prepping, trying new foods, and training outdoors with friends and family for my next triathlon. My true passion is sharing my knowledge and vast experience to enrich the lives of others. – excerpt from beyondempowermentservices.com
